widebody 993.... am I crazy...

I have a thing for wide-body germans.... the M Coupe was my first lust, but it looks to me that a widebody ~94 carerra 2S is within a reasonable price range, and with a baby on the way, a "plausible" rear seat is a huge bonus....

how crazy am I here.....

Not too crazy - with a baby on the way though, You will have to shop around for a car seat that will fit the back. Porsche used to make one specifically for the car - don't know if they are still in production though.

part number 000.802.031.01

Or

000.802.013.00

wow, thanks man, I'm not so worried about the baby seat, I still have my beater E28 and her Jeep I can drive if I need a car-seat. (the one-car garage could be an issue).... the rear seat is more of a toddler+ issue. I don't really like to sell cars.... ya know.

it seems that for 25-ish grand and with ~50-60K on the clock, that's a heck of a buy...

do the 993s have any known weaknesses??? IIRC their electronics are a lot simpler than the 996 (that's good for me)... but what are their issues... my p-car experience is limited to a 944-affliction that managed to whither before a suitable example was found... so I am truely a newbie with the rear-engined varieties.

What car are you looking at? 993s in the US began as MY'95, C2S didn't show up until US MY'97, C2S models seem to start at around $45k and go up from there. I'm a little confused at what car you are looking at.
