Welcome to the BBS

Make sure you get reciepts for all of the services done to the vehicle. 964 requires a valve adjustment every 15K miles.

Definately have them check the underside of teh motor for leaks between the cam housing and the head, as well as leaks at the base of the cylinders.

Hey John - noticed your'e a fellow Australian. You should also drop the question on the Australia/NZ forum here as there will be more localised experience.

I'm in the process of sourcing a 964 at the moment also and my preference is to take it to Porsche and pay them for a proper PPI once you are satisfied that the car is "ridgey didge". Buy a bad one of these and you will regret it big time.
