R134 Air conditioning conversiion
Thank you to everyone for thier answers to my questions. I am really enjoying putting this car back together. Is it easy to change my A/C system to R134. If so how is it done. Thanks. Carl

Go to Walmart and get a R134a conversion kit about $20 (aluminum adapters for the new refridgerant which you screw onto the old Freon 12 fittings). There is also a fill line with the kit that allows you to add Fr134a to the suction low pressure side (widest tubing leaving the compressor). the barrier lines need to be replaced for the perfect update but if you don't mind refilling the system each season due to leaks (old hoses don't retain new freon that well.) then you don't need to change the lines.
