New-to-me 964, some questions

Having sold my SC a few months ago, I took delivery of this baltic blue 1990 C2 last week after a long & intensive search. The car had a lady owner (really, I met her!) for the past 8 years or so. The leakdown number on cyl #6 improved from 28% (measured at the last service) to 9% after I had driven the car for a few days. Obviously, some cobwebs and carbon have been blown out.......

The only issue that my mech has not dealt with yet, is a somewhat sticky gearshift linkage across the 1-2/3-4 gate. If someone can tell me how to access the linkage and where to look/lube/adjust, I would like to attend to that myself unless the car needs to be on a lift. I have Adrian Streather's book, but he does not deal with that in the book.

Here are some gratuitous pictures taken in my backyard, designed to show off the car's colour against the cobalt-blue skies we have this time of the year.

Great car ,the interior looks new (same colour as mine, kind of white ).
Dunno much about 964 gearboxes ,but reading stuff about g50 boxes (like on my old 3.2)the first and cheapest thing to try is to drain and refill the gearbox with fresh oil.
