tiptronic oil pump replacement
Anybody replace the oil pump on a tip? It doesn't look that bad from my parts and workshop manual.
Or is this something that only an experienced technician should do?

It is do-able. You definately need to follow the procedures in the manual EXACTLY. If you are not confortable with the procedure, I recommend having a shop do it.

I have page 38-119 and 37-104, -105, -106 of Porsche service workshop manual vol 3. Is there something printed by HAYNES with more detail?

No, the Workshop manual is the authority. Don't even think haynes puts a manual out for the 964
