Disconnecting the battery

Will I lose the radio functionality? I still have the original CR-1 cassette head unit.
What else will get affected other than losing the DME memory.
Just wanted to be on the safe side before I disconnect the battery for cable and tray maintenance.
Thank you in advance.

Unsure about the CR-1, some radios need the security code after losing power. Should be in your Owner's Manual or on a key tag.

I don't have the stereo code.
I am not even sure if this head unit requires one.
There is also a blinking red alarm led on the face panel.
I will try the dealership to inquire about the stereo code.

Thanks for the reply.

Found the Radio anti-theft security code card inside the glove compartment.
Got separated from the owner's manual bag.
Now I can start disconnecting the battery.
Thanks.
