Hi there, many thanks for taking the time to read my question, any help would be appreciated, a sight of a 964 turbo sat on the side of the road with the flashers on is not a pretty one!!
My car will run for a little while when cold and will then just stop, like running out of fuel, despite many attempts to start it the car will stubbornly refuse to start for ages, then it seems to run ok. I did have a new fuel warm up regulator fitted to the car, could this be the problem? any other ideas, when the car is warm it as no problems,Many thanks Chris |

DME relay, fuel pump wiring/ ground.
I would install another DME relay (under the seat) and see if that does it. Most guys here carry a spare in the car just in case it goes... Good luck

Chris, although I cannot directly answer your question, it would be helpful to know more information on your 964. Is it a 965 (964 turbo)?
If so what year? I thought the 964 T's used CIS? CIS cars don't have a DME relay.

964 Turbo is CIS, so the first check would be cold and warm fuel pressures. WUR would be a suspect since it was just replaced (bad/wrong part?). Tough to diagnose without more information.
