I have asked this before but got no response? I have a 99, 996 Cab with a chrome 911 instead of the Carrera I see on most. Did someoen change this or is it factory?

It is a change. people buy the older 911 logos and put them on, or you can buy the adhesive ones from Bumperplugs.com
Personally, I like them AFJ

It came from the 2000 millenium and/or 40th anniversity editions. The millenium is chrome and the anniversity is silver.

No. The model year 2000 millennium was a limited special edition. Someone took your original badge off and put that one on, since you can order the badge as a part. Plus the millennium only came as a coupe, not a cab. And there are other and unique things for this edition, such as violetchromaflair paint.
