Spark Plug wire routing

New to the forum HI everyone. Today I started my first project on my recently acquired 993. I'm feeling pretty stupid about now. I Just took some of the old wires out of my 95 993 to replace. After it was too late, I noticed where I had forgot to tag 3 out of 12 of em. Does anyone know the proper wiring for the 993 spark plug wires?? Or maybe have a diagram. Thanks.

How many miles on your car? If you are replacing the plug wires, it might also be time to replace the distributor caps and rotors.

For replacement, I think the wire themselves have cylinder numbers on them, as do the distributor caps. Look closely at the caps and you should see them. The numbers are written on the wires, so you should be able to see those as well. The numbers all have an I or an E in front of them, e.g. I-3 or E-5, for Intake side-cylinder 3 or Exhaust side-cylinder 5.

Also, the firing order is 1-6-2-4-3-5.

Finally, here is a section of the wiring diagram from the manual. It’s not very clear. I blew it up to make it easier to read. The cylinder numbers got blurry, so I typed in a set across the top. Sorry, but my Photo-shop skills are limited.

Thanks a whole bunch Kang. You saved me alot of guessing on this one. I will check the wire numbers carefully. Didn't see any numbers last night but that doesn't surprise me. Also, I did do a full wire, cap, rotor replacement. Am also toying with the notion of changing out the valve cover gaskets as I have some crud caked on the bottom of the valve covers. Hey, the car is 11 years old now. Time for some TLC. It doesn't seem to hard since I have half the motor torn apart anyway to get to the wires that route around the top of the blower housing. Whew! I've been at this at least 4 hours now. It is looking up however with your help. Best Regards, Carrera95
