cruise control problem

My cruise started to work less and less frequently. It is now not working at all. Fuse is ok. What fails on these systems? Is there an achiles heal on the cruise? Kevin

brake light switch sticking/failing??
edit: just to be clear; the brake light switch activated by the brake pedal.

On 993's, there is a tendency for the clutch pedal to not come up all the way. There is a switch that gets activated when you press the clutch, which tells the cruise to cut fuel. This switch gets stuck "on" when the clutch pedal doesn't come up all the way.

Finally got a chance to look at the car today. Kang got this one, clutch pedal a little sticky I guess. Pull the pedal up, and cruise works. Thanks all, Kevin
