1991 964 Cabriolet lock assembly part?

I have a 1991 964 Cabriolet. The convertible tops left lock assembly is broken. As you may know there are two of them, the one that’s broken is located directly under the drivers head. I believe this lock assembly is what’s responsible for locking the top in place. Anyway, does anyone know the part number? I think Porsche wants $700 for one and I just wanted to shop around first. thanks | ||

These are electric motors...my buddy had his broken and bought them a while ago from LA Porsche for $250 a piece. Check other junk yards and they pop on eBay once in a while.

hi-- unless you are willing to wait around for one to come up on ebay---and i have seen a lot of them sold for around 125 bucks-- you will probably pay around 250 for one used. no easy way around it. i know from experience. try german auto dismantlers in georgia-- i have been happy with them in the past.---tom
