95 993 electronic door lock problem

After taking my 993 out of the garage for the winter, the Alarm, electronic locking system no longer function. I had the car on battery charging system that I have used in the past. Also when the door is opened, the interior lights do not go on. I have also noticed that the heat does not work regularly. I've checked all the fuses and relays (nothing referenced for the electronic locks). Sound like a computer problem?

If I had to guess, it would be that a ground wire (or wires) someplace slowly corroded (rust, etc) and are not making good contact. The problem is, finding the wire(s).

The alarm, door locks, and electronic locking all have components in common. Did you try jiggling the door switch? I believe the alarm and electronic locking system components are located under the passenger seat. Try reseating all the electrical connections. Does the light switch on the light itself turn on the interior light?

As for the heat, that seems unrelated to the above (no common parts). When you say heat does not work regularly, what does that mean? You get air, but it is not hot? The air does not go where you want it? No fan?

I looked at the door switch, it seemed fine, I will check again. The interior lights do go on when I push them. I'll also start my persuit of a ground wire.

I do get air blowing out, but it is not hot all of the time, the fan goes high then low without changing the setting.

Thanks.

The heater issue sounds like one of your servos is intermittent.
