The Pelican Parts diagram of the tool kit looks nothing like my tool kit. I know it is a notional drawing, but how do you know if you have all the tools you need? I see that the Turbo does require a special spark plug wrench, I bet that will be a fun exercise...

Seriously, is there a list of tools for the various models? The price of the tool kit is over $400, more than I want to spend just to find out what I may be missing. Thanks in advance to anyone who can point or post a list of the "as issued" tools.

buy a 930 spark plug wrench. I have my tools sitting at home I would not use them to work on my car just something for resale. |

Ken, Thanks. I was hoping to get a list, because I have no idea what constitutes a "full" tool kit. I know it is just nice to have, but if I'm gonna spend $75 for a tool kit on ebay, I might as well get one with all the tools.

Try looking at the www.rsamerica.net site under OEM Info, then click on Equipment on the drop down menu. Keith has pictures and inventory of the RS America/964 tool kit. I'm not sure if the Turbo kit is different or not. Good Luck,

Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for. My turbo toolkit is missing several items, but the unique sparkplug wrench is there. Mark

Based on the excellent article at www.rsamerica.net, here is what I learned:

Missing - Wrenches x5, screwdriver handle and all three bits, 5mm allen. Extras - 24mm Klein box end wrench, 17x19 cylinder combination wrench, crank for sunroof. Differences - My 90 deg. drive has the Torx bit on the short end, and my tool pouch snaps instead of tying closed. Now looking for the missing bits... Thanks, Mark

Glad it helped. Couple of things, the spark plug socket doesn't fit the new plugs. Plugs went from the 13/16 to the 5/8 size. So might want to check that. Wrenches aren't that hard to find, the screwdrivers are. Took Keith and I quite a while to find them.

Your sign doesn't say where you are, but if in S. Ca. We found them at Venture Auto Fest and LA Airport Hilton Memrobilita meet. Good Luck, Don |

I lived for many years in El Cajon. Now I am in Northern Virginia. I'll check the spark plug socket, I did notice that the PEC recommends Bosch FR 6LDC as a good retrofit for earlier models. Thanks, Mark
