Turbo springs fit the C2??

I've researched this ad nauseum. There are so many versions of what works and what does not. I'm buying the parts asap so now I need the definitive answer so I'll just come out and say it -

Bill, will turbo (spec'd) H&Rs fit my C2?

I'm finally going with your earlier recommendation of Bilstein HDs and H&Rs for my car.

You would have to ask the vender, hopefully Pelican? as I am unfamiliar w/ H&R products

In general 964 n/a and 964 turbo struts can be used interchangeably,

I did find this in my records, H&R peformance 240-260lb/in fr 280-310lb/in rr

For almost 100% street they look like a good choice.

for reference
US factory M030 are 150-200 fr 225-275 rr

and something like BIlstein PSS-9 is 225-250 fr 400-685 rr

I have 392 fr 560 rr on mine and it's firm but still very streetable

Thought I'd jump in here and offer my suspension if interested...

I just purchased a JIC cross suspension and will be taking off my current setup. Bilstein HD's with linear springs (450 fr and 600 rr)....$1000 obo plus shipping.

Would you be willing to split these? I just need a set of rears. I already have a set of H&R Turbo Struts/Springs for the front.

A good reason to buy a set and not just pieces parts.

Hi Craig,

I wouldn't put my springs on the rear. They spring rates would be to far out w/ respect to the front. BTW...the stiffer springs in the rear is where I saw the most impact. When the car accelerated w/ the softer springs the back would have to take a squate before moving forward. With the linear, higher spring rate in the rear made for quicker response time....and "felt" much more fun to drive.

fwiw-the H&R part # is 29834. That gets you the "red" springs which are spec'd for the RSA and Turbo, but will (hopefully) fit the C2. I'll post a follow-up after installation.

They will fit just fine. Those are the springs that I have in my 91 C4 with Koni's. Great for street, and not to firm at all. good luck.
