Big Red Rotor Options

Does anyone know of a slotted rotor for big reds?

Really tired of replacing drilled every 10 track days!

I believe that CDOC is now offering slotted AP rotors for use w/ 993tt or RS Big Reds

What pads are you using? Some have a reputation for eating rotors...

Thanks Bill, I'll give them a call.

Kris - Hawk HT10. I was using Blues last year & the rotors cracked to the edges after 6-7 days. Getting more air to the rotor is one of my winter projects but I really would like to find a slotted version.

Or I could just learn to brake less!

My searches of these forums shows a preference for Pagid Yellow as the best compromise between feel and rotor wear, for track use.

There are just as many devoted fans of PFC 97, but the rotor wear pattern is not as consistent: some folks report long rotor life, others very short.

I am compiling all the parts for a Big Red upgrade on my 90 C2, and I have a box of each ready for back to back testing.

There sure are a lot of us using the Pagid RS 19 or RS 29 yellow, never heard a complaint yet.

RS 14 black is a higher friction optiuon. Higher friction means more rotor issues.

I have big reds on my C2. Even when the car weighed 2800 lbs, I would get 20+ days out of the rotors using Pagid orange or even the black. My car now weighs 2500 lbs and I run the yellows. With over 20 days on the current rotors, I have plenty of life left in them. My pads last for 10 days or more. My typical day is 20 min practice, 20 min qualify and 25 min race.

I also recently switched to slotted, floating rotors with aluminum hats from VCI (so I don't run stock rotors anymore either).
