HI Bill
thank you for responding.

I found this part number on the PCA website 993.424.075.30 8YR

Does that part number refers to the pic attached?

Thanks

If you have an RS lever, yes. If not, I dunno

I think the actual RS shifter has a printed shift pattern:

The one that you have shown has a '3-D' pattern. It looks like a 996 shifter with a 993 compatible boot.

Yes , I found out the pic I posted is off a 996 GT3 shifter...

The pic Max posted is the right part number / RS shifter I was orignally looking for and trying to match up....

Next questions for the experts on 993, will the pic I posted (996 GT3 shift/boot) shifter work on the 993?

I have used a couple varieties of 996 shift knobs on my 993 (using a 993 boot of course) ; and they do fit. some are press on, some have a set screw.

Here's a picture of one that i made.

It is the same knob as the one you pictured, but with an inlay for the shift pattern.
The one you pictured must be manufactured by someone making a custom leather boot that mates a 996 knob with the 993 boot console shape.

so you just changed the boot or attached a 993 boot on a 996 shifter?

Is that hard to do?

That is actually the shifter I like...
