Done! - 964 Clutch replacement (parts, costs, pics)
All my wishing didn't help ... the clutch was due for replacement.
After all it turned out great. The driving experience has much improved. Not so much that it doesn't slip anymore. The shifting is better and the clutch is softer (easier to push the pedal). This is, what I did and what it cost me: - Clutch kit incl. Pressure Plate ($379), Flywheel ($650) could not be reconditioned), Clutch Shaft Kit ($170), Pressure Plate Bolts ($20), Valve Cover Gasket kit ($85), Spark Plugs ($45), CV Boot Kit ($20), Rubber Oil Engine/Crank Seal ($15). It came (incl. labor) to a total of $3200 - ![]() Well, I guess it was worth it. It was actually good to see the engine out and have a closer look. It gave me the impression that the car is in really good shape. The leaks were minor and are now completely fixed. Let me know if anyone needs tips (parts or good mechanic) Here are some pics: ![]() ![]() ![]()

cost
Hi Paul,
To answer your question: Taking the engine out and replacing the clutch/flywheel was $1150 (for labor).
