Where is the ISV = Idle Stabilization Valve

I know I should have bought the repair book and I will !

Can anyone give me a hint or send a picture where I can find the ISV on my 1991 964 C2. Symptom is that when it is cold, I have to start the car 2 or 3 times.

Thx guys!

It’s right by the throttle body. It’s a little silver cylinder. There are air hoses going from before the throttle body (but after the air flow meter) to the ISV, and then from the ISV to a point just past the throttle body.

This DIY is for a 993, but it should give you the idea.

Thx ...

... I found it and it seems a little easier on the 964 than on the 933, which is good news!

I'll do it later this evening and will report if it changed anything.
