Angry Rear Brake Caliper Removal ... HELP!

So I decided it was time to do a brake job on my 1990 C2. I'm changing pads and rotors (upgrading of coarse). In the process, I decided to refinish the calipers. The front came of pretty easily, couple bolts, slid right out.

Here is where I am running into some trouble. The rear caliper is held on by two 10mm allens. The problem is that the bottom one is so damn close to the arm (probably about an inch or less), that I can't slip any kind of tool into it.

I've cut down an allen to try to get it to fit, I called various tool shops, and of coarse, i contacted Porsche .... nothing ... no one knows. (Porsche claims you can just use an allen socket on it .... BS! ... not enough space!)

I know what your thinking ... "get a service manual" ... Thanks all fine and dandy, except I come to find out its not an easy find. The books I did find are no help, and you have to buy a series of volumes if you want a "service manual", resulting in costs into the thousands.

p.s. Any tips on disconnecting the parking brake?!?!

I'll try to get some pictures when I get a chance ...

Yes, you need a very long allen key. There is a hole in the arm and you access the lower bold through the hole. Hope that helps.

PB Blaster is a miracle worker on stuck fasteners.

When working on suspension, sometimes you need to slightly raise the suspension (with a jack) to gain access to various nuts.

Much Thanks

I mentioned that I would post some pictures ...

As I was reviewing which pictures to post, I noticed that there was indeed a hole in the arm ... totally didn't see that before ...

Thanks for all your help
