Sachs clutch wear limit
Hi All
The friction material to the top of the rivets measures 1.3mm yet Porsche shop manual indicates the limit is 0.3mm and 1.0mm when new. Apparently the SACHS sports clutch has more friction material than a stock Porsche clutch. Can the 0.3mm wear limit be followed or should the clutch disk be replaced before this limit is reached? Thanks Bill
But I'm still confused! There's at least 130,000kms of wear on this clutch yet it measures 0.3mm thicker than what is quoted in the shop manual for a new disk? Is it possible the Sachs sports clutch disk is thicker than Porsche original? TIA Bill 90C2 |

It must be, The Sachs I recently replaced was .374"(8.74mm). It could have gone a lot further but while I was in there anyway...
