option code 240
There's a 993 I'm interested in purchasing that has this option code on its white label. The car is a USA car as evidenced by its VIN which starts with "WP0AA299". According to Streather's book, this code means "Model for countries with inferior fuel". I've found a few old threads on various sites about this option code, but there didn't seem to be any consensus on whether or not it is legit for a USA car. Does anyone have any more insight into this option code and know why a USA car might have it?
