Question 1996 carrera ventillation system not working?

I have a 96 carrea2. The windows started to fog and I tried turning on the defrosters with no luck. The Blower motor, AC light do not go on. Does anyone know if this could possibly be a fuse as it was working fine last week. If so where is the fuse located and what number would i need to check... Any help on this matter is much appreciated.

Thanks

Fuses:
1 - L and R blower fan

In the engine compartment, you might want to check Fust 44 and the relay for the A/C clutch.

Can you hear the AC Clutch engage when you press the button?

Hope it is not a failed CCU.

I don't know if the 993 has the same as the 964, but the 25A fuse for the rear blower (one of the 3 fuses back there) has/fixes those symptoms exactly. I put in a 30A because it kept pissing me off.

Question Any additional help!

I checked the fuse and relay and there is no power going to the blower motor. When engaging the defroster or the ac no sounds occur and the light do not come on. I'm thinking it might be the CCU, is there definitive way to tell? Also I see these selling on EBAY for about 4-5 hundred. Is that a fair price?

Thanks

The fuse rating was increased by Porsche in 1990 for exactly the same reason!!! The 30 amp fuse is the correct part. DO NOT fit 25 amp fuses for the rear blower in a 964 - it WILL keep blowing.
