Porsche Crest Need help to remove passenger door SILL COVER

I am trying to remove the SILL COVER (part # 964-559-093-01) located beneath the passenger side door.

So far I have completely removed the Rear Sill Cover (part # 964-559-095-01), the odd-shaped sill cover that interfaces with the rear wheel, along with all the parts that hold this part on the car.

I then removed the tapping screw at the rear of the SILL COVER (part # 900-13-147-07) without trouble.

After this, I removed the nuts located along the bottom of the SILL COVER that hold it to the frame.

The problem I'm having is in accessing the CLIPS (part # 999-591-916-40) and the grommets. I need to remove the grommets so I can then take the SILL COVER off of the car! I see no way to reach the grommets from any direction.

You can see these parts in your PET Parts Book, Illustration 810-05, Update 179).

Can you help me with this?

David,
Now that you have all of the fasteners removed take a stiff paint scraper and tape it up so you don scratch your paint.
Start at the front of the rocker trim ("sill cover" in your lingo ) and pull it away from the car a little bit. Now you will see where the first clip is located. Slide your scraper in between the trim and body next to the clip and pop it off. Repeat for the next clip (should be 4 or 5 of them, I don't exactly recall).
You should be all done in 30 seconds or so.
Good luck.

Hello Paul:

Your suggestion did the trick. I was able to remove the Sill Cover by hand...without the need of using a sharp implement. While four of the plastic clips broke...their replacement cost is minimal.

Thanks,
