'89 C4 ABS light
Car has about 92K miles on it, full motor and trans axle rebuilt recently. On a very intermittent occurrence the ABS and Diff lock light comes on. I thought it was from a bad seal in the front diff, so I had my shop redo it. It still comes one. Is there a sensor on its way out? Thanks.
Upgrades / service SuperBlue Brake fluid Front Diff Rebuild x2 Dust shield removed Brake ducts installed via fog lights Carbo-Tech Panther Plus Performance Break pads Brake Pad wear sensors removed. (they melted during a track session) Please help---ITS ANNOYING!!!

As per the Rennlist reply.
Has the car had distributor caps and/or coils replaced anytime recently??? Apart from the problems that are supposed to give the warnings, stray HT voltages are known to cause the ABS/PDAS systems to go berserk. It took over a year to diagnose the problem in my car and new coils and caps/rotors solved it. Regards Dave |
