Airbag light
I just bought a 965 (964 turbo) and the airbag and seat belt lights are on. I read something saying it could be the solder joints in the clock. My question is on the code reset. Do I have to have a special reader like the "hammer" or can I jump some pins or something like on the 90s BMWs?

Where can I find a code read like the hammer? Is there anybody on here near Birmingham, AL with one?

Unfortunately you cannot reset an airbag light by a battery disconnect. It is possible that if your alternator is going south you are triggering the light that way.
The hammer (or the new PST2) would be found at a specialty Porsche mechanic. I believe the Durametric tool will also reset airbag lights.
