993 rear wheel question

A 993 is in my future but something I've noticed is the rear wheels are not centered in the wheel opening. This is a good example.

Is this an illusion or is the setting from the factory?

993 TT and S versions don't seem to have this problem.

TT and "S" have different rear fender bodywork. But yes, they don't appear to sit "centered" and yes, that is "factory".

It is somewhat of an illusion also. The inner rear fender well plastic takes up some space, but since it's black and recessed from the body work it's not very visible.
