Battery went dead, charged bat. went to get car inspected No emission reading,
drove over 60 miles, how many miles do I have to drive, to get reading?
Disconnected bat.To see if that would reset Com.Drove another 60 miles no luck.

I'm not sure if the 993 is equipped with "readiness testing". If it is you will need to drive the car long enough for the DME to test all of its systems [ie. oxygen sensors, catalyst, evap etc.] In the Vw/ Audi world it takes about 100 miles over several drive cycles. Every time the battery is disconnected [for more than 30 mins or so] or dies all the pending DTC's and readiness information is purged from the DME memory. What year is your car, I can try to find out if it has readiness.
