964 engine valve upgrade

I'm taking advantage about the oil leak fixing to tune up and upgrade my 964.

I'd like to upgrade my 964 3.6 liter engine using the Intake Valve (51.5 mm), 911 Carrera 2 Euro "RS" 993-105-409-42-M154 (1995-96) and Exhaust Valve (43.5 mm, 8 mm stem), 993 Carrera Euro RS 993-105-419-43-M154 (1995-96) instead of the regular smaller valves.

What is the best recommendation can you give me

best regards

JC

I'd update to 993 heads and 993RS or some nice undercut ss valves, the 993 ports are bigger and the rocker design is better

you can put bigger valves in the 964 heads though, the 964 stems are thicker than the 993, new guides takes care of that

Thank you Bill. This is very helpfully..

Taking with a mechanic engineer suggest me to let these valves as it because the head and manifold can't be wide more, and in any case the torque will be on a higher rpm regarding to the gear box needing a 6 speed one

You could talk to Rich at Jerry Woods (408 369-9607) for his input on cost versus benefit. He's tried lots of different combinations on 3.6 engines. And don't forget about springs, you may want to switch to a better spring than the stock parts.

+1 on Jerry Woods. And Tom, it's not a bad thing, just a checkbook barometer...
