Question Looking at a '95 - 993 C2 6-speed

Has about 65,000 Miles, original clutch, doesn't look abused.

Planning to get a leak-down test.

What else to look for specific to a '95 ???

Thanks.

Engine wiring harness update. Otherwise no different from any 993.

Maintenance history, damage/repair history, the wiring harness update mentioned above.

Where's the car Gunter?

Make sure all maintenance was done by a Porsche specialist and you could even try talking to the specialist the car was maintained at.
By the way is it a late 95 with a Varioram engine?

Has the 60k maintenance been done? Sparkplug wires (expensive to replace). Rust at bottom of windshield?

rust at the base of the windshield and rear window, regular brake fluid flushes, regular oil changes, door checks have a tendancy to pull out

Look here for an excellent 993 buying guide :

The Jackals Racetrack - home of true drivers cars, Caterham superlight R, Lotus 340r, Lancer Evo6, Esprit S4, Elise 111s, Elan SE and more....

Despite the improved LuK dual mass flywheel these cars (and the latter 964's) have, these flywheels can go bad. Ask me how I know. If you notice any clunking from the rear of the car when you ease off the pedal, the flywheel is going bad.

Had a few 993 owners look at it and they were impressed by the condiiton.
Previous owner reported normal oil consumption and no leaks on the floor.
Sounds very clean. Seafoam green custom colour. Deposit paid subject to inspection.
Weissach Performance, Vancouver, BC.

www.weissach.com

I am planning to see the vehicle this Friday.
It takes 8 hours driving for me to get to Vancouver.
They'll put it on a hoist for me to check underneath etc.

I'll have to pay attention on how to reset codes for the alarm and radio when the battery is removed/reinstalled.

How to reset?

Not a fan of Seafoam, but it sounds like a stunning example.
Good luck, hope it works out for the better.

I'm a big fan of Seafoam! I'd buy the car even if it needed work just for the color!

Thumbs up

Weissach fully disclosed the minor ICBC claims; a few thousand Dollars, nothing important. 3 owners, service records, very nice...........

It's the cleanest 993 I've seen so far; all lines match and the inside is like new with sport seats in great condition.

The custom color sea-foam green is unique and stunning and in reality looks even better than the pictures.

I like OBD1; a lot less complicated than OBD2. 270 horses is fine. Has LSD.

Install Bilstein PSS10's, upgrade the 3rd brake light and drive..............................

I am sure it could have sold for more and I am glad I put a deposit on it real quick subject to inspection.
