front strut substitution question
Hi, I'm new to the forum and have a front strut replacement question. I have a 97 c4s and a bad right stock front strut (Monroe 993.343.042.37). I found cheaper Boge (993.343.042.04) that is listed for a M030 sport option. Could I fit the stock springs without the need for the sport spring upgrade? I know that if it would work I would replace both sides.

If you still have the original Monroes and more than 35K miles, replace all four shocks.
Bilstein HD work well with original springs.

You can only replace shocks in pairs, & you are better off with the Boge vs Monroe. If you are going to pay for the labor do all 4.
Yes, you can use what ever spring you want. |
