964 Wing deployment/Cup car question
All, Did the 964 Cup cars do away with the speed sensor for wing deployment/ If so, can one just delete that sensor box on a regular car and use the manual knob in the passenger compartment?
Or did the Cup cars do away with all the electronics completely? Cheers, James

oem they had the auto up/down. Most racers do away w/ the auto feature and leave them locked up.

I've modded my spoiler so that it only goes up at 75 mph, once raised however it must me manually lowered via the spoiler dial on the center console (at any speed below 75 mph).
This very simple idea came from garrett376 (at Rennlist). Instead of the spoiler automatically raising at ~50 mph and retracting at ~7 mph, simply remove the contact from two wires in the spoiler module and you are set. (the module location is different depending on model year). spoiler behavior change - making it switch activated only - Rennlist Discussion Forums

Great, thanks. I'm thinking I'm just going to remove the speed sensor and hardwire the motor to the spoiler dial and be done with it..
