as requested , 3rd brake light connector pics

Factory external wire, just pull the external seal off

This is the connector in the engine compartment for the brakes and motorized spoiler, it's next to the fuel filter on the passenger side

The connector on the left is the brake light in it's finished config

It just pulls apart, use a vom to pick up which pins connect to what I forgot which.

Bill -

I am in the process of retrofitting the 3rd brake light after removing my basket handle light on my early build 993 91994). I have read all the various posts and am a bit confused with all the information. Most say using the connectors already at the top of the glass leads to shattering, but is obviously the easiest way to mount the high mount tbl. I would like to extend the brown and black wiring from the basket handle up and bypass the connectors already there. Have you had any problems since you installed yours? Would you recommend I pull the rubber seal back and try and use the connectors ala your pictures? How and where do I run the wires up to the glass. respect your opinion and hope I am not imposing on your time. Of course pictures of how you run your wires are always helpful since you always document everything. Thanks much. Gil
