Pics of wheels on 964s?

I'm going to buy some wheels for my 92 C2 cab. Could y'all post some pics with the offsets F&R, the tire sizes and any mods or problems you've had? THANKS!!!!!

Did you educate yourself at the page I suggested in the offset post?

Stock, somewhat; custom aftermarket, no. Call a big wheel store (e.g. Wheel Enhancement) and they can hook you up with several different options.

For example, I had some Kinesis K28 custom made for my track car:
964 competition wheel setup
These particular wheels don't appear to be available anymore, but this is just an example of what is possible.

Kinesis Super Cups (no longer made). Do not know the offset and I thought they were 17x8.5 and 17x10 as that is what the stamp on the inside would indicate, but when measuring the inside bead width, they actually seem to be 7.5 and 9. Anyways, fit great and you can find these for sale used from time to time. Other options for you include:

Fikse
BBS
CCW
Enkei NT03+M
Volk TE 37
Speedline Alesio
Speedline for porsche supercups
Work Brombarcher (not sure on spelling)

They look great, it's a shame that they are nla. My recollection is that they were 7.5" & 9" bead width, which does measure to 8.5 and 10" overall. Wheels are designated by the bead width.

993 headlight replacemant Question

I'm going to help someone replace the headlight and was wondering what the trick is to complete this task. From just looking at it it looks like the rubber band around the lens needs to come off to do this.
Thanks for the help

No!
Don't mess with the rubber band.
Check the owners manual; very simple.
There is a lever on the inside of each fender adjacent to the headlight assemblies. Unclaspe the lever and turn all the way towards the windshield, then back 1/2 way. The headlight assembly will pop out. Reverse procedure to replace.

Careful changing bulbs; do not touch the bulbs at all with your fingers.

Yadda, yadda, yadda........

"headlight replacement" in the index will tell you what page to look on.

Otherwise have your buddy order the book "993 Essentials" by Adrian Streather, available at Chapters Book Store. Great manual with pictures showing you how to change the headlights.

There's plenty to choose from but some will require spacers.

Ruf 18s-need spacers

Ruf 17s=need spacers

18" 996 5 spokes-need spacers

The same but in black.

993 twists-need spacers for the rear. These are 17" replicas, factory would be 18

BBS 18s
