Star European in Costa Mesa, Ca
i am going to look at a 993 tomorrow has anyone dealt with them before. Any suggestions on a good place to get a PPI on a 993 in or near Costa Mesa, Ca

I remember I was looking at a GPW C2 w/ maroon interior at Star European alittle over a year ago. The car was priced high considering the maroon interior (everything was maroon, including dash, steering wheel, controls, etc.). I told them what I thought the car was worth (probably $5k less than they were asking) and they didn't even want to talk about moving on the price. Months later, as the car became stale, they dropped the price to the range that I had ask them about, lol. By then I had already found my car.
Anyway, during the time I was considering that car, I called around to some places include Newport Motorsports for a PPI. After I told these guys that I was considering a car at Star European and wanted a PPI from them, these guys at Newport went on a total anti-964 rant about how much of a POS they are, lol. It was like a scared straight segment on Porsche ownership, lol. They must have had a beef w/ Star European or something. |

I'd not spend any money with them. I looked at a '96 when I was looking. Absolutely misrepresented. Two good oil leaks (I was told "they all do that"), CEL on....(I was told "they all do that"). The paint overspray from a repair on the "accident free, original paint"....well, the had no reply for that.
Typical used car salesman-go at your own risk.
