I might be wrong but I think the torque tubes are different 993 to 964. The 993 shaft is about half the diameter of the 964.

Finally got some time to compare. Ill do a separate post showing the differences but they are not interchangeable. 964 vs 993 Torque tube differences

Yes, I'll be watching this thread closely, too. A VERY worthy project, Duke.

Flywheel/Clutch combo

Does anyone out there know if the 964 flywheel will fit a stock 911 2.0L motor? Will make this project so much easier if it does.

It won't fit. A 964 flywheel is a 9 bolt pattern and the 2.0 motor is a 6 bolt pattern.

I wonder if you can use a 964 clutch disc in between a 2.0 flywheel and pressure plate?
the 964 clutch disc is 240mm, I think.

Nuts

Ah nuts, well bolts actually and 3 too many. May have to be a bespoke flywheel. Thanks for the swift replies.

How did this go? Just curious.. I've got a 13w deluxe at the body shop & about to turn a 912 to 911. Never considered a C4 Splitscreen....

Would love to see more of how the project went.
