'89 C4 Crankcase Vent Hose

Bought my first Porsche project which is going pretty smooth. I ran into my first snag sourcing parts. There is a cover on top of the crankcase under the intake that I believe is where a vent hose attaches. I don't have that particular hose and my local dealer is scratching their head trying to find it. Only part that I could find is 930 107 397 03. Obviously that's a 930 part and the dealer can't tell me if there is a different part for my 964. If that is the correct part, I'm looking at $476 bucks. Can I have one made and skip the dealer part? Pics of the mounting point are attached, any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is the correct part # for the vent that connects to the pictured point

that hose then connects to 930.207.043.01 which connects to the oil tank

Thanks Bill for the reply. I was able to find a picture of the hose in another thread but still can't find the part number anywhere. The new picture shows the hose going from the breather cover to the intake. Any parts gurus you can recommend?

My apologies, I looked at the turbo section instead of the n/a section

I see the issue, as it's not clear in the parts book what is what

No problem Bill, I did the same thing at first. I meant to add that it was a non turbo. Hope someone can point me in the right direction. It's a formed hose, don't know if one can be made up instead.

Strangely, I've recently been playing about with the hose that Bill mentions on my 965...I baulked at the cost as well!

For your hose could you not use 2 x 90deg 25mmID silicon hoses, along with some straight silicon section, joined with 2x 25mm straight tubes (with rolled edges). Not ideal, but a helluva lot cheaper than an OE part.

I've got a mate locally to me in the UK who sells loads of 964 parts on eBay, he may well have one kicking about, that could ship over to you?...secondhand of course....

Thanks for the input Spenny_b, looking into possibly making a hose up. Also have family in UK may have them check breaker yards? Trying some yards here as well. If I could find a good part number it may not be to costly from oem.

Thanks Rollingjack, the local dealer actually delivered my part yesterday. The Porsche parts system shows the part but the diagram doesn't look anything like the actual part. My usual luck finally search out the part and the next day someone comes up with the answer a lot easier than I did. Thanks for everyone's input, much appreciated.
