J pipe for 964 questions
Folks,
Many moons ago I had an RS America with a "j" pipe and the secondary muffler removed. Car sounded really good in my opinion. I recently purchased a 92 C2 and am considering doing the same. It's my new daily driver. Any issues I should be aware of? Inspection/Emission issues? For those in the know, any particular manufacture I should purchase from? Many thanks for your help and advice. george |

I'm in Texas and I have a G-pipe. No issues passing state inspection. The secondary exhaust isn't an emissions piece, just a silencer, so it smogs just fine (I still have the catalytic installed).

I had a "J" pipe on my 91, made by a company called Bursch(sp?), seriously nice, a little loud maybe, but i liked it. WOT has just awesome.

If it's many moons ago, I would have liked the g-pipe. At my age I just can't be that wild anymore. The primary bypass pipe(j pipe?) is the loudest I can take for my daily driving.
