Hi Fi door speaker... what is this plug?
What are the orange electrical plugs at the rear of the hi fi speaker enclosures for? (inside the door panel) They are under the little coin trays in your door pocket? They aren't plugged into anything... just sitting there... as though there may be another option that plugs into them?

I thought there was some kind of sound control that sits in the door pocket if you have the hi-fi option. Hopefully someone else can confirm this.

found it... it is the DSP or digital sound processor plug... for a rare(ish) accessory in the door panel that nobody really likes... and one that really doesn't do much either according to what I've read up on it...
Here is a link to the bulletin on it: http://www.pcarworkshop.com/images/b/b6/9161_1995_690495geolab.pdf |

i actually retrofitted the dsp controller (after finding the right '680' amp)
and it resulted in a modest upgrade of my system. also i replaced a few gnarly speakers. i had a previous car with it. not state of the art, but if you get your hands on a cheap setup from someone and youre not an audiophile, and desire oem, its ok, and pretty much plug and play.
