964 unknown item
Does anyone know what is this "item" located inside the rear right wheel well (forward side), I noticed leaking some clear oil (brake/clutch) and took the cover off ( small plastic held with two nuts) and saw this item which has two wires (blue and yellow) going into a cylindrical housing. Is this related with clutch slave??? I am having some leakage of some sorts.....not engine oil, and I cannot figure ir out from where, and strangely, the level on the resevoir does not go down a lot.
I have two big stain on the driveway, mostly on the rear rignt side and as mentioned yesterday I noticed leaking from this "item" that is rusted and has a hole on it. Thank you all Nick ![]() ![]() |

Yes, That is the oil level sender which transmits a signal to the dashboard oil level gauge. You will need two things to replace it. It's an easy DIY:
Oil Level Sender Unit: 964-641-051-02 Oil Level Sender Unit Gasket: 993-207-226-00 I would also advise getting six new locking nuts. Take one off and bring to hardware store and get six new ones. |
