Squeaky BRAKES!

Trying to fix, my front squeaky brakes. Purchase the car 5 weeks ago, checked the brakes a couple of weeks ago - no brake spiders or wear sensors connected but new brake pads.

Just installed brake spiders & wear sensors - still squeaking.

Could it the cheap brake pads installed or is it the rears (has new pads & discs).

Any suggestion helpful.

Did you install the vibration damper plates as well?
If not, you need to add them on and try again!

Have you tried bedding the brake pads to the rotors? Drive up and down the street at 30mph for a bit while applying medium brake pressure. Let off when you start getting a smell of the brake pad material.

I don't use spiders and do have track pads on both of mine(both have 993RS brakes), no squealing as long as they are kept clean. Flush the calipers and rotors w/ a strong stream of water then drive them dry.

I spray the backs of the pads with the wurth spray then install and stand on the brake pedal. Glues the spiders to the pads, no squeaks.

I've never bedded pads like this. If you do this long enough to get smell, you could be cooking your fluid. I usually do a number (8 or so) of brisk stops from about 75 to 25mph. Then stop and let the brakes cool.

You may have old rotors with another pad's deposits. If so, it is hard to lose any squeal.

Checked the rear brakes no spiders installed - hoping is the source of the noise!

I still say, if you have new pads on old rotors that used a different pad, they could be well bedded with a different material. No amount of spiders in the world will take that squeak away. But, it may be worth a try.
