No low speed on engine cooling fan ?

New temp sensor. Resistor and fuse. Still no slow speed fan ? Took fuse out and jumped both positions. High speed works but no low speed ? This is a early 95 with old style engine cooling fan. Any ideas ? Thanks John

Relay problem? Burnt rear fan relays are common.
Cheers,
Tore

There's not much left to have a fault then, I would start with tracing wiring faults. You could press the low speed relay (or short the terminals with relay out) and check that the resistor gets +12V when the low speed relay is on. (or shorted terminals) Then, test if this voltage is present on the other resistor terminal. (if not is the temp fuse in it tripped) Then see if the fan motor gets this voltage.
Cheers,
Tore
