Aluminium intake manifold for 993 engine

Since few weeks I own a 88 G50 Carrera with 993 non vram engine.
I know there are few disadvantages with a aluminium intake manifold,
but I really like this look (Singer):

I have read that this is a modified 996 GT3 manifold, but maybe thats wrong...

Which aluminium manifold will fit on my 95 993 engine?

Thanks
Falk

The only 993s that came w/ an aluminum intake plenum are the '96+ vario-ram cars and the RSR cars.

RSR

From what i've read on the forums, the RSR setup is not ideal for a non-track application, and it's stupid expensive.

The Singer cars use a GT3 intake plenum, but it has been beautified significantly. It has also benefited from a bunch of supporting modifications to give it that super clean look.

You can use a 964 intake,(much cheaper that the above mentioned options) without problems., cheers, Stef.

A GT3 plenum is used as part of a complete revamping of the motor and it's operating system. Along w/ the plenum ITB's and Motec or similar control is used and the engine internals are modified as well, usually using lumpier cams, larger valves, and more rev compatible rotating and reciprocating components.

Unless you are willing to put multiple 10 of thousands into the motor forget it and if you are then contact a reputable builder.

If you are ok w/ just adding vram then that is a very easy change that will boost midrange torque for you

Or you could paint your plastic intake manifold silver for less than $30 in supplies and some decent manual labor.

Do the 964 manifold, it is exactly the same as the plastic one.
