964 Power Window Stopped Working
Hi,
I have an 89 964 C4. One minute driver door power window works, next minute it no longer works. Passenger door window and power sunroof all still work and all other electronics work fine. Any thoughts? I just got the car...is there a safety setting I may have turned on? Fuse, relay? Where should I start investigating? Thanks, Derek

Try swapping out the switch from passenger window. if that works all you need is a new switch
I advise avoiding the URO brand switches

My experience with this was a bad switch, too.

Problem solved...it was the pesky switch. Bought two OEM ones from Porsche, now I have a spare for when one of the other two left stops working. Thanks for the tips and suggestions.

URO is the brand of some aftermarket parts of dubious quality at best..

I got URO window switches in my 964 Cab for a year now. They are manufactured just like the OE design. Do not compare the old aftermarket design with the plastic clips. These new URO designs have Metal clips like the OE. The main problem with the old A/M design is that the switch pivots had to be made short to assemble from the top in a one piece housing. It came apart by constant use and the body swelling from summer heat. The URO and OE design have a separate top trim that allows the pivot to be longer to prevent the button from coming loose.
