Issue with cabriolet mechanism

Greetings. I just found out that one of the metal linkages in my 993 top is broken, and I want to figure out the best way to fix it without spending huge dollars.
I've been told it's not wise to weld the aluminum bows if they break, is that true?
Is there a way to get a "pattern" of the bow so I could have one fabricated?
Thanks for your help.

go to http://forums.rennlist.com/ and search on the 993 forum. you should find alot of stuff. Or post a new topic. It has alot less traffic than the PP 911 board but much more info on 993's

Good luck
