964 C4 with 17" x 9 & 11 Wheels

Dear All,

I'm thinking to back date my 964 to the old ST look in the near future, But now I'm planing to change only the wheels and wold love to know if i purchase a set of 17"x 9 235/40 front and 17" x 11 275/40 back are they going to fit and run with now problems ?

I do not know from experience but pretty sure that 11" is too wide. I believe 10" is max on narrow body in the rear. I also think 8" are close to max for front.

Yep, biggest you can practically go on stock 964 is:

Front = 8x17" ET52
Rear = 10x17" ET68 w/ 21mm spacer (ET47 w/o spacer) This may require slight flattening of the oil pipe going to the tank.

I've got a client's car presently with 9.5" ET47 rears and fit great without rolled lips or flattening of the oil pipe.

thanks all for your valuable advice its mean i have to wait till i change the front and rear finders to RSR or ST Spec.

I would agree with that strategy since you will also be able to size the wheels with less positive offset, giving you more "barrel" to the wheels, looking more authentic.
