DME control Unit Part Number Cross Reference
I have a 1990 3.6 installed in my 911. The brain has part number 964.618.124.03.
I bought another 3.6. It came with a brain with part number 911.618.124.01. Is this the correct brain for a 3.6 or did I get short changed? Does anyone know the differences between the two part numbers? Thanks. |

The earlier 964's had a DME with a 911 part number. I've used early in late and late in early and can't tell much difference. Are both of your engines aluminum intake versions?

My concern was that the seller provided me with a brain from a 3.2 rather than a 3.6. Since, I have compared a 3.6 brain to a 3.2 brain and see that the enclosures have different dimensions so I have concluded that I do have a 3.6 brain. With your input confirming interchangeability I guess I am now OK. Thanks for your help.
FYI the brain with the 964 PN came with a motor with plastic intakes and the one with the 911 PN came with a motor with aluminum intakes. |
