993 clock delete - DIY how-to?
Greetings, all-
I've a friend with a 993 who is interested in deleting the clock in his 993. Might anyone have any links to any DIY how-to's for them to go about such? A quick search did not reveal the information sought, it appears? Huh. Any experiences / insight appreciated. Thanks in advance! ![]() |

Plenty of guidance to be found in this following, linked thread, Paul! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-930-turbo-super-charging-forum/911154-anybody-have-link-clock-delete.html |

My understanding is that you need the clock in 964/993's for the charging system as well. If you remove the clock, your battery will not be charged correctly.

Considering the number of operational icons on the clock, this task seems like a significant can of worms. Even the programing of the immobilizer requires seeing the flashing remote icon. You must really hate that clock!

Juat connect the clock and tuck it inside the dash.

@Paul - you remember the clock conversion into a boost gauge that I did a year or so ago? (Stack stepper gauge, new face with correct font and needle, and retained the perimeter warning lights)...maybe an idea for your buddy? ETA - I've actually really grown to like my clock, and with some indexing issues with my custom gauge, I'm now wondering which one to actually carry on using. After all that effort. Typical, indecisive, me.
