info about the processor chip in your ez68 https://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/66066/INTEL/8751H.html The 8751H is an EPROM version of the 8051AH. It has 4 Kbytes of electrically programmable ROM which can be erased with ultraviolet light. Is fully compatible with the 8051AH but incorporates one additional feature: a program Memory Security bit that can be used to protect the EPROM against unauthorized readout. The 8751H-8 is identical to the 8751H but only operates up to 8 MHz. |
Fourth revision has been approved and sent to fabrication.

Any time you add aftermarket parts you run into plug and wiring issues. In this case we had no other way. It solved a problem and worked well. The customer was happy as his car sat for over 1 year while a solution was found. We solved the problem in days and he was very grateful. |
Remember anyone saying "math might save your life" ?
I guarantee it wasn't an engineer. defining accurate pin placement for the connectors involves this :- https://www.researchgate.net/profile...-trapezium.png |

FrankenCIS is still going strong out there in the real world, not much activity on the Pelican thread though.
What we are doing for the Mercedes folks with the EZL, will pretty much become the new version for them. No Microsquirt and direct control (optionally) for the KE-Jetronic on top of the EZL ignition. |

Please PM once you have working' unit available. Helio Lopes |
Many people on Reenlist 964 turbo owners that use these units are mostly on that site. It would be good for the 965 Ez69 owners to see what you have developed. You will have great success there.
Please start a thread there. You will have plenty of customers there. Helio |
Shall do,
The Hardware is running on the bench and the firmware core is functionally complete. The design and implementation is closely following OEM features and requirements with a few modern tweaks to enhance reliability and protection. Case and connectors are not yet finalised. As we back-and-forth with suppliers, specs have been refined to match manufacturing realities. So we are frequently deciding on little details, and then rinse-repeat. Also, everyone, please hang on to your dead ones as we might also be able to do an exchange program for the EZ69 case. The schedule has us well placed for in-house vehicle testing of two different prototypes by early April, so maybe mid-year for one or more hand-built units to escape the lab. poor little naked one on my desk now :) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1707455603.jpg and our calibration software connected http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1707454966.JPG |

Thanks,
As for a dedicated thread, here or elsewhere, I want to make sure we actually have a viable solution first. |

Hi,
Nothing definitive, physical aspects of case and connectors are the current focus. As expected, bespoke parts are required for 95% of the module. * Still on track for physical on engine beta testing mid to late April (Mercedes) |
WOW. I had no idea this was happening. Holding onto spare cases for sure.
You might also be able to use MBZ cases from dead units as they are so plentiful. Perhaps there are differences on the vac hose sensor though, maybe that's also being replaced... GENIUS WORK pls carry on! |
the crazy continues...
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1714286326.jpg CNC finished upper housing from a formed blank of PA12-F nylon allows the 3d features such as the manifold pressure port and programming connector, the CNC steps then work with the required 0.5mm wall thicknesses between the main connector pin voids and keyways. |

Please email me once you you have a working unit ready to test or sell. i own a 1992 964 turbo stock with a RUF wastegate spring of 0.9 bar. I assume those work on bothe the 3.3 and 3.6 turbo's ? I live in the Washington DC area. contact info heliolps2atyahoodotcom. Thank you kindly Helio |
Amazing - I don't mind them being in your case design instead of inside an old B case.
Are there any heat or grounding concerns as with the originals? Will be curious about the programming as well, though I have a stock car with just free flow cats. Yes the 3.3 and 3.6 964 turbos were a different map, assume you're making these mappable to all the various specs of cars they were used in to have the largest market. |

Can't wait to buy one for my 3.3 |
Hello, thanks for working on this problem. I have a 964 3.3 Turbo that's been sitting for two years because there's no 1969 version available. If anyone can help me out for a while, that would be great. Otherwise, I'll have to wait until the replica is available.
Thanks, Dirk |

02 runs I. 3.3 but it works with a different ignition angle and because of no knock detection on this engine it’s risky.
Iam happy that you still own the car with my engine and trans pack✌️ |

Thank you again. Just to let you all know, I bought a complete 965 engine and trans from Thomas at FSR Auto sport and had him ship it to me in Virginia from Germany, by air, it went smoothly. I can't say enough about the experience. Check out his shop in the Porsche motherland, It's amazing . I highly recommend FSR Sport Auto https://www.fsr-sportauto.de/ and follow him onhttps://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=fsr-sportauto or https://www.instagram.com/fsr_sportauto/ Thomas please let know how to get a EZ69-01 as soon as possible please send the info via email. heliolps2atyahoo.com or message me |
It’s a tricky one for sure! If you’ve been searching for months with no luck, you might have already seen that new ignition modules are pretty scarce. A few people have had success sourcing used ones, but you’re right, the physical difference is minimal, so using the MB (96560270602) could work as a temporary solution, especially if you can match the pinout and connector.

Greetings,
I would also like to know about these repairable units. I have a 964 3.6 turbo in my shop and can't seem to find a solution to these modules |
I have 2 spares in case you run into a dead end but it is pricey.
|
I've got two spare units lying around for my '94, and Porsche charges an arm and a leg for rebuilt ones - like $3000 plus a $900 core charge. These would be a huge score if they work, If I can get functional ones for under $100, that's a massive savings. Fingers crossed
