ANOTHER 964 Aircon Question
 

So, I just had a specialist replace my compressor, exp valve, drier, pressure switch and evaporator.

Aircon is nice and cold.

However, the volume of air that comes out of the left hand side vents, is no where as strong as the right side blower vents.

What could cause this?

If I had to make a guess I would suggest getting the driver side blower motor exchanged or renewed .
There is a squirrel cage blower behind the interior micro filter that pushes cold condensed air into
the cabin , it's likely failing or on its way out..

Plus 1 on that, if your talking about a 993 other wise the 964 has no filters.

I think another possible culprit is mixing servos weak or inop.

I also need my AC redone just like yours, how much did it all cost?

I bought all the parts and paid someone to do it for me...

Interestingly, when i questioned my installer, he said that he inspected both blower motors and they were working fine and that the brushes were also in OK condition and did not require replacement.

I have played with the airflow a bit; it appears as if the 2 outside vents, closest to the doors are blowing at the same amount of force.
However, the 2 centre vents, even though they are right next to each other, blow at very different force...

If it blows nice and cold all through the summer and beyond, then I will be happy (ish).
