could be a host of things but most likely fuse related , if that doesn't do it check relay and or sending unit under the dash center behind floor vent .
Also possible to be the transmission or cable under rear lid ,if it moves freely when manually lifted thats your best bet.. Bert

Check the linkage of the spoiler, I had a bolt backing out on mine that was hanging up the mechanism and causing mine to stick.

Does it lift when you turn the manual button ?
If not , It’s easy enough to check the mechanical by simply removing the cable from the motor under the engine cover , wipe any grease of the square cable end , then turn the cable with your fingers whilst gently giving a little assistance by holding the weight of the spoiler in your other hand . You should be able to easily go through the entire range of movement both ways by hand . If all good , the electrics are pretty simple . Iirc , just 12v ffrom switch to motor , and a limit switch each for fully open and fully closed . I don’t have my 964 in front of me right now , but it’s really easy to check with a multi-meter from the switches or the round plug that disconnects the rear lid harness in the engine bay . |

Just thinking ... (drunk)
![]() You do know you can’t see it from the rear-view don’t you ? Not wanting to state the obvious , but are you sure it’s not working ? Over the years plenty thought it wasn’t , but it was and they just couldn’t see it whilst driving . (Well , you can , but at “spoiler-up” speeds it’s better to stay in your seat and look at the road) |
